WITH GOD, I OVERCAME

Have No Fear, Just Have Faith

Today's main verse is  Psalm 118:6 (NIV) - The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? 

God reminds me, "The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?"

Exactly a year ago, in 2024, I attended a Sunday service with a cell group. After the service, we had lunch together. However, I was struggling with unforgiveness because I was still recovering from an unpleasant internship that happened in 2023. 

Painfully. By God's grace ❤️, one of my friends came to catch up with me. As we chatted, two other friends came and heard my struggles. With that, they laid hands on me and ministered a prayer. The prayer was to set me free from suicidal thoughts, anger, self-harming, and bitterness.

One of them gave me this verse, Psalms 118:6, and another gave me Psalms 23. As they continued ministering to me, they saw so much fear in me, and they comforted me, saying that God understood our pains and loved me even before I knew Him.  My friends said it was also okay to text them as they'll surely be there for me. I'm so thankful that I hadn't taken my life years ago. Otherwise, I wouldn't have experienced the blessings God has long installed for me. ❤️

Lessons I Learned

When you're fearful, remember that : God's presence is always with you.

Acts 2:25-28 (NIV)

David said about him, "I saw the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices ; My body  also will rest in hope, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, you will not let your holy one see decay. You have made known to me the path of life ; you will fill me with joy in your presence.

Trust in God,  for HE is your Savior.

Psalms 56:3 - 4 (NIV)

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?"

Trusting in God gives blessing.

Psalms 40:4 (NIV)

Blessed is the one who trust in the LORD, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.

No matter what you go through, have NO FEAR, just HAVE FAITH.
