Dear Heavenly Father, 

This morning, again, we come before You for weekly united prayer! 

Thank you for a new week! 

Give Thanks To God

Yesterday was Pentecostal Sunday! We remembered how the early churches received the Holy Spirit. How Lord Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist. Immediately after he was baptised, the Spirit of God descended like a dove upon HIM -  [Matt 3:16-17]. The Holy Spirit came and rested upon Him. That was a sign of the beginning of His ministry on earth! 

Thank you, Jesus, for giving us the Holy Spirit as our Helper before You even ascended into Heaven - [John 14:26]. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for teaching and guiding us. Help us to be sensitive to Your guidance as we walk a life pleasing to You!

As the days are getting evil with wars and killings, with all kinds of threats and disasters. Yet we are blessed to have the peace of God within us through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Your Word says, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Is not the peace that the world giveth. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Lord Jesus, let our hearts be always trusting and at rest, regardless of whatever storms there are, out in the world - [John 14:27-28].

Prayer for Children

Father, we pray for our children whom we care for and love. Even though we can't always keep an eye on them, we pray for Your protection over them. Keep them from all evil and harm. Protect them at work, at school, with their friends, and every place they go. Keep them safe and guide their steps. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Pray for Our Spouse

Dear God, please cover our spouses and bless their days. Help them in whatever they do, work, out of the house, travelling, and exercising. Keep them from all harm and evil. Surround them with godly friends who will be a godly influence on their lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer for a Loved One Far Away

Lord, pray for family members who are far away from me. However they live, only You know and can see them. We pray You will watch and keep them when all we can do is to pray. We can only leave them in your care. Please keep them safe daily. Help them to establish a strong foundation in Your Word. Knowing how to call upon You in times of need. Let them feel Your care even from a distant place. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Pray for Unforgiveness

Lord, we pray for those who continue to live in unforgiveness. Your Word says, "He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him." [1 John 2:10-11] We asked, "How to forgive someone who doesn't deserve our forgiveness? But Your Word clearly says that he who hates his brother is walking in darkness. Show us if we are walking in unforgiveness, and help us to release and forgive so that we can continue to enjoy Your forgiveness for our sins. [Matt 5:44-45]  [Matt 6:14-15] In Jesus' name, amen. 

Pray for Anxiety

God, protect our hearts from anxiety and all kinds of negative thoughts. Some may have been plucked by the word, "What if..." Let all negative thoughts be turned into trust in the Lord. Heal all anxious minds that can be a cause of overthinking, fear of death, fear of long-term suffering of loved ones, fear of losing a job, business, or work problems, and financial problems.  In Jesus' name, deliver them from anxiety and fear. God, You are all-knowing, and You can help them as long as they know how to release their problem to You. In Jesus' name, amen. 

Pray for Our Leaders

Father, we pray that Your protection be upon our country and the leaders. Keep them out of all harm and evil, from any plots and plans of the evil ones. As they serve the country and the nation, bless their services and expertise, and bless their family members as well. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and guidance in making good decisions. Grant them favour with the nation, world leaders, and political partners. Grant godly counsellors who will provide good advice and wise counsel. Your Word says, in the multitude of counsellors, they are established - [Prov 15:22]. For the leaders who know the Lord, we pray that they will know how to seek the Lord for guidance. We pray that they will reign in righteousness and rule in justice. In Jesus' name, amen. 

Southern California Chemical Leakage

We prayed for news of the 👉 chemical leakage at South California, leaving 50,000 residents scrambling out of the country. May God protect the residents and enable them to evacuate from the dangerous zone and move to safe places temporarily. We pray that the authority will be able to solve the leakage issue. May God give them wisdom to cool the gas tank and prevent it from releasing poisonous gas into the atmosphere. We pray that You will protect the workers sent to resolve the leakage issue at the chemical plants. In Jesus' name we prayed, amen. 

Lord, thank You for hearing all our prayers. In Jesus' name, amen.
